Introduction

An OMF file provides metadata for one or more documentation files. This metadata includes various useful information which may be used for cataloging the documents, including the author, title, document file location, version, locale, and various other information. ScrollKeeper uses this metadata, along with metadata extracted directly from documents, to create a documentation catalog which can be used by documentation and help browsers.

This document describes the form and fields of an OMF file. It is meant to be a simple reference for an OMF file author at any level. Feel free to jump around through the sections to quickly find the information you need.
